We invite anyone who may benefit from what we offer here on our site, to come and explore the resources, links, and information. Whether you’re interested in becoming involved at the Danvers Senior Center, if you’re a family member looking for caregiver resources, or you’re hoping to stumble upon some sage advice while navigating a new stage of your life, we hope to provide what you need or at least point you in the right direction.
We’ll be continually making changes to our website with the hope of improving access to useful information. If you don’t find what you need, feel free to give us a call at (978) 762-0208, or drop by the Senior Center located at 25 Stone Street, Danvers, MA.
IF YOU ARE NEW to the area, or just new to the Senior Center, here are a few pointers to get you started:
Visiting for the first time: You may drop in and explore the Senior Center on your own anytime between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. If you would like a tour of the Center with a description of activities, we will do our best to accommodate you as staffing allows. You can also call ahead to schedule a time to come in for a tour with someone who may be able to spend more time answering your questions.
Membership & Costs: There is no cost to come to the Danvers Senior Center, socialize, take part in the many free activities, or utilize any of the free services we offer. Some activities, classes, and meals have a small cost associated with them. You don’t need to be a resident of Danvers to come here or participate in our offerings.
Danvers Senior Center Participant – To join in general activities at the Center, simply let someone at the front desk know you would like to fill out a Senior Center application. The form asks for basic contact information, emergency contacts, & significant health concerns. A member of our staff will process your form & issue you a membership card to pick up the next time you visit.
Friends of the Danvers Council on Aging Membership – Many of our activities at the Senior Center are sponsored by the Friends of the DCOA. Their support is made possible by the generous financial contributions from members of the community. An annual Friends Membership runs from September to August beginning at $25/year. After payment is processed, FDCOA Members will be issued a membership card in the mail. Members receive the ONIONTOWN SENIORS Newsletter mailed their home as well as a reduced rate on trips, classes, activities, and special dinners.
