Accounting
The Accounting Department is responsible for maintaining all of the Town's financial records to insure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations along with overseeing all departmental appropriations.

The Assessing Department is responsible for valuing all real and personal property within the Town of Danvers for tax purposes and administers statutory tax exemptions and abatements.

Equity & Inclusion
The Director of Equity and Inclusion is responsible for furthering the development of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Town of Danvers. This includes, but is not limited to, creating programs to educate the community, reviewing existing policies and structures to ensure access, and supporting responses to complaints of discrimination.

Harbormaster
The Harbormaster's Office is responsible for providing marine law enforcement, rescue, and recreational services to boaters within Danvers Harbor. The Town employs a professional staff of 1 full-time Harbormaster, a Deputy Harbormaster, 6 Assistant Harbormasters, as well as a number of Pumpout Boat Operators and Lifeguards. All are committed to serving our Danvers boating community with courtesy and professionalism.

The Human Resource Office is a shared resource between Town Departments and the Danvers Public Schools. The mission of the Human Resource Office is to serve employees, prospective employees and the citizens of Danvers in a manner that reflects the community's core values and diverse culture.

Information Technology
The Danvers IT department is charged with establishing, monitoring and maintaining information technology systems and services for general government and water, sewer, and electric utilities.

Danvers has been using online permitting since 2009. This is the first major upgrade to our system since then. You will now have different options available for your use as well as having the ability to pay the required fee online.

Planning & Economic Development
The Planning and Economic Development Division plays a key role in shaping the future of new and infill development in Danvers. The division develops guiding policies for the Town's long-range planning, strategic plan, and reviews new developments through bylaws, zoning regulations, and subdivision regulations.

We strive to provide a balance of high-quality activities for participants of all ages including fitness, sports, science, nature, and music programs.

Senior & Social Services
The Danvers Council on Aging is a nationally accredited senior center that provides comprehensive services to enrich the lives of older adults in the Danvers community.

Town Clerk
The Town Clerk's Office maintains the vital statistics for the Town, the annual census and dog licensing. Our office also processes all licenses and permits authorized by the Select Board including liquor licenses, common victualler and motor vehicle sales licenses.

Treasurer / Collector
The Office of the Treasurer/Collector is responsible for receiving and recording all Town revenue, for coordinating Town borrowing and debt service and for managing over $3.5 million in trust and scholarship funds.

Veterans Services
Massachusetts is the only State to dedicate a program of services to its' veteran population. In accordance with Massachusetts General Law, MGL Chapter 115, each city and town in the Commonwealth is represented by a resident Veterans Service Officer. Smaller communities are combined into a district and administered accordingly.
