About Danvers Recreation

Danvers Recreation oversees recreational activities in Danvers, the Danvers waterfront, Fun Club After School program and the operations of Endicott Park. The division consists of a Recreation Director, Assistant Recreation Director and Program Manager, Director of Natural Resources, Recreation Secretary, After School Program Director, and various part-time and seasonal personnel.

Danvers Recreation has a comprehensive recreation program for the families of Danvers. With approximately 7,000 family units and 3,800 children in our public and parochial schools, there is a commitment by the Town to provide meaningful recreation programs and facilities for citizens of all ages in the community. Each year over 5,000 registered participants are able to take part in these programs and activities.

Danvers Recreation also supports all Danvers Youth Sports leagues by providing the scheduling and permitting of Town property as well working in conjunction with the Department of Public Works Grounds Division to provide the best possible grounds conditions in the area.

Danvers Recreation is always looking for opportunities to expand its programming and welcomes new ideas and proposals.
