Medical Waste Disposal

The Danvers Police Department provides residents with a safe, convenient, and responsible meant to anonymously dispose of acceptable, unused, unwanted, and expired medications and pharmaceutical products.  This program helps get outdated or unused medicines off household shelves and out of the reach of children and teenagers while reducing the introduction of potentially harmful substances into the environment. The Danvers Police Department has a Sharps Kiosk and a Medication Disposal Box in the station's front lobby at 120 Ash Street. These two receptacles are available to Danvers residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Sharps Kiosk

  • All sharps must be in a medical-approved or closed, heavy-duty plastic container.
  • No loose needles, lancets, or syringes.
  • This kiosk does not accept medication, glass containers, paper, or plastic bags.

Medication Disposal Box
