After public disclosure has been completed, the values will be submitted to the Department of Revenue for final certification. Once final certification is received from the DOR, the Select Board will hold the annual Tax Classification Hearing, which is tentatively scheduled for November 7, 2023, at 7:00 PM. The Board will then set the tax rate(s). The tax rate is determined based on many factors, including total taxable real estate and personal property values, appropriations from Town Meeting, State aid and Town revenues and expenditures.
