Next week, Monday, October 2nd, marks the start of every other week recycling collection for Danvers residents with town curbside pickup. Recycling collection routes have been split into Blue and Green recycling collection weeks. Trash collection will continue to be picked up every week, and the day of the week you place your trash and recycling curbside will not change.
October 9th is an observed holiday, which means curbside collection will be delayed by one for the week. This means that for residents whose recycling collection falls on a Green week, both recycling and trash will be delayed by one day. For residents whose collection falls on a Blue week, trash will be delayed by one day.
October 16-20 and October 30-November 3 are Yard Waste Collection weeks. Yard Waste can be placed curbside on your collection day as normal. Yard Waste may be placed in open barrels (free "yard waste" stickers are available at several Town buildings) or in paper yard waste bags (no larger than 45 gallons or 50 pounds).
The Town will hold its annual Zero Waste Recycling event on October 21 & 22 at the Danvers High School from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm both days. Residents may bring their old trash/recycling receptacles to this event to be recycled as rigid plastics.
