[ARCHIVED] Cyclical Inspections

The Assessors’ Office has contracted with Patriot Properties to assist with our Cyclical Property Inspection Program. Over the next few months, inspectors will be visiting properties located within Assessor Maps 10, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 57, and the Highland Meadows Condominium Complex on Collins Street. In addition to properties located in these areas, we will be inspecting properties in other neighborhoods which have a last inspection date prior to January 1, 2014.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Revenue Guidelines requires the Assessors’ office to attempt an interior and exterior inspection of each property at least once every nine years. The purpose of these inspections is to confirm the accuracy of the data currently on file within the database. Having an accurate database is essential to the fair and equitable distribution of the Tax Levy.

Please note these inspections are voluntary and should only take 10-15 minutes. If you have any questions or would prefer to schedule an appointment, please contact Corrie Sanders in the Assessing Department at (978) 777-0001 x3058 or by email at

Thank you for your cooperation.
