    Join us on the Lawn of the Peabody Institute Library on Saturday, September, 17 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for the first annual Latinx Heritage Month Celebration.  This event will have creative and interactive activities, free food, entertainment, swag and more!     National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated every year from September 15 – October 15. Here in Danvers, we refer to this time as Latinx Heritage Month to recognize the achievements and contributions of Latinx, Hispanic, and Caribbean people.

    This timeframe was chosen because many countries celebrate their independence in the month of September:

    • 7 – Brazil
    • 15 – Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua
    • 16 – Mexico
    • 18 – Chile
    • 21 – Belize
