Come along with Staff Park Ranger Nate Swisher as we explore some of the edible plants, bugs, and wildlife that can be found in Endicott Park and throughout New England.  Discussion will include the differences between edible, inedible, and toxic items, as well as some ethical considerations while foraging. This series will be presented with families and individuals in mind.  We ask that attendees be at least 8 years of age and have a strong interest in the outdoor skills being presented.  Most topics will be for those with little to no experience, but all classes will be flexible and can be tailored to the group.  Discussions and hands on work will be encouraged, but there will be no heavy lifting or strenuous activities.  These classes will be held in Endicott Park’s Nature Center with short hikes and walks taking place around the property to cover experiential learning. Workshops will skip 4/21 due to April Vacation. $10 per person. Special discount available if you would like to sign up for all 8 workshops- email emoretti@danversma.gov for assistance.
