FROST FISH BROOK EMBANKMENT RESTORATION PHASE II

Posted on December 11, 2019

As a result of sealed bids opened September 19, 2019; a contract has been awarded to T. Ford Company, Inc., 124 Tenney Street, Georgetown, MA; for the Frost Fish Brook Embankment Restoration Phase II Project, from Massachusetts Avenue to Cabot Road. The contractor will be performing these improvements under the supervision of the Town’s consulting engineer CDM Smith, Inc.

The major components of the work will consist of, but are not limited to; sediment removal, embankment restoration including installing armor stone rip rap, clearing and grubbing, and minor tree removal found in the Frost Fish Brook.

T. Ford Company, Inc., is tentatively scheduled to mobilize heavy construction equipment, materials, traffic control barriers, and begin construction during the week of December 16, 2019. The construction working times will be Monday through Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm.

The contractor will work closely with CDM Smith, Inc. and the Engineering Division to complete this project in a timely manner. Due to the nature of this type of construction, you may experience some temporary inconveniences such as traffic delays, detours, noise, and dust while the contractor completes this project. Although construction activities will mostly occur in the Brook, there may be some traffic delays due to
construction equipment entering and exiting the site at culvert crossings or through Town easements.

In advance, thank you for your patience and cooperation during the rehabilitation of the Frost Fish Brook. As the construction proceeds, we will keep you informed as to any changes or key milestones of the project that may occur.

Should you have any questions or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the Danvers Engineering Division at (978) 777-2668.
