Guidance for New Year’s

Posted on December 31, 2020

The Town of Danvers wishes all residents a safe, healthy, and happy New Year.   The safest way to celebrate the new year is to celebrate at home with the people who live with you or virtually with friends and family. Staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others.  Travel and gatherings with family and friends who do not live with you can increase your chances of getting and spreading COVID-19 or the flu.

The Danvers community has 187 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday, December 28. Health officials are asking people not to host or attend parties and gatherings. Indoor parties, small or large, increase the chances of transmission of COVID-19 because of social distancing constraints.  For more information on ways to ring in the New Year safely, please visit the CDC website.

Town offices will close at 3:00 PM on December 31 and will be closed on January 1.  Trash and recycling pick up on Friday will be delayed until Saturday.
