The Town of Danvers seeks an innovative and enthusiastic human resources professional to join its Leadership Team in the role of Director of Human Resources. This full-time position reports to the Town Manager and provides management support for the full range of personnel functions, including collective bargaining, recruitment and selection, training and development, safety programs, and the employee benefit program for more than 400 employees.
Current priorities include: developing a personnel handbook, advancing employee engagement efforts, improving the onboarding process, and working with Finance and Accounting to select and implement a time and attendance software program.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources administration (master’s degree preferred). The expected starting salary is $88,000 to $102,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Applications received by October 19th will receive preference.
