The Town of Danvers seeks applicants for the full-time, benefited position of Accounting Clerk III for the Accounting Division. The Accounting Clerk III performs a variety of highly responsible accounting and clerical functions with significant responsibility for accounts payable and payroll processing.

The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, education, volunteerism, and transferrable skills as qualifying, unless otherwise designated as required. Desired qualifications include Associate degree in accounting or related field required and three (3) to five (5) year of experience in accounting, customer service, and/or office-clerical setting.  Advanced understanding of computers and Microsoft Office is required.  Previous experience with MUNIS and/or Admins is preferred. This position works 35 hours per week, Monday-Wednesday between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursdays 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM – Noon.  Union position (grade 4) pay scale starting at $26.37 hourly with the ability to move through the pay scale via step system to a maximum of $33.41 hourly.
