Town of Danvers Department of Public Works | Assistant Business Manager – June 2020

The Town of Danvers seeks qualified applicants to join our team as the Assistant Business Manager in the Electric, Water, Sewer, and other Divisions of the Department of Public Works. This newly created position will play a vital role in the succession plan for the Divisions, representing an opportunity to work alongside the Business Manager until his retirement, which is anticipated within the next year or so.

Performs a variety of duties for the Danvers municipal utilities (electric, water & sewer) including but not limited to accounting support and customer service, policy development, assists with annual budget development, capital improvement projects, audits, and performing projections and statistical analysis.

Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Public Administration or related field, and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal public works, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Non-Union pay scale, $69,950.40 – $85,220.93, starting rate DOQ. Excellent benefits package (health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, training, EAP and more). This is a 35 hour per week position.
