Town of Danvers | Building Maintenance Mechanic I 

The Town of Danvers seeks qualified applicants for the full-time (benefited, union) position of Building Maintenance Mechanic I for the Buildings Division of the Public Works Department.  This position performs a wide variety of tasks in the maintenance and repair of buildings. Additional work requests may come from individuals other than the employee’s direct supervisor.

Qualifications: The Town of Danvers will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteerism, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required. High school or Trade School Diploma certification required, 1-2 years of experience in the building maintenance field or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Valid driver’s license required. Commercial Driver’s License preferred. This position works 40 hours per week (Mondays – Fridays 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM).  Union pay scale, starting rate of pay is $22.52 per hour with ability to move through scale (via step system) to max step of $25.69 per hour.
