The Town of Danvers seeks applications for the full-time leadership position of Chief Assessor. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for Town staff. The Chief Assessor performs responsible varied duties relating to managing the assessment and appraisal function for the Town of Danvers.
Minimum qualifications include: five to seven years of experience in real state, personal property appraisal, and municipal procedures experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Business Administration related to business, finance, and property appraisal. At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in personnel management required. Massachusetts Accredited Assessor (MAA) certification or ability to obtain within two years, required. Certified Massachusetts Assessor (CMA) preferred. This position works 35 hours per week. Management (M-3) pay scale starting at $83,555 annually, with the ability to move through scale (via step system) to the max step at 111,545. Hiring range DOQ. Excellent benefits.
