The Town of Danvers welcomes applications for the full-time, benefitted position of Civil Engineer II. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for Town staff, including a commitment to professional development and policies that support a healthy work/life balance.  This position coordinates and manages all Capital Improvement & Subdivision Projects, maintains databases, performs survey and layout assignments, and provides support for Town DPW Supervisors as requested for small municipal projects.  This is a FLSA exempt union position.

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and a minimum 1-5 years of professional civil and environmental engineering work in design, project and infrastructure management experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) certified through the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveying (NCEES) is preferable or must be able to pass the exam within two years of employment.

This is a full-time, 35 hour per week position with normal work hours of Monday through Wednesday 7 AM to 2:30 PM; Thursday 7 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday 7 AM to 11 AM. Union pay scale, starting at $67,823.57 annually, with ability to move through scale (via step system) to the max step at $88,492.04, annually.
