The Town of Danvers is seeking applicants for the full-time (benefited) position of Dispatcher for the Police Department. providing the public with the quickest possible response to requests for police services by the efficient and diligent manner in which messages are broadcast to field units. This position provides aid and support to the officers of the Department by ensuring that messages are clear, concise and timely. This is a union position.
Associates degree and prior dispatch experience preferred. Must have or be able to achieve as a condition of employer States certifications required for the position. A complete job description and job requirements is available by clicking on the job title at the top of this page.
This position works 40 hours per week. The individual must be able to work a variety of shifts, which may include day, evening, and/or overnight shift rotations. Hours of work will routinely include weekends and holidays. Union pay scale, starting at $21.51 hourly, with ability to move through scale (via step system) to the max step at $26.41 hourly.
