The Town of Danvers seeks applicants for the full-time, benefited position of Confidential Administrative Assistant for the Danvers Fire Department. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for all. The Confidential Administrative Assistant provides complex administrative and personnel support to the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Fire Prevention Officer and firefighters, and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to the public.

The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, education, volunteerism, and transferrable skills as qualifying, unless otherwise designated as required. Desired qualifications include graduation from a high school or trade school, or an equivalent certificate. Associate’s degree preferred. One (1) to three (3) years of prior administrative assistant experience is required, as well as experience with customer service and working with the public. This position works 35 hours per week Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility for exact hours. Non-union position (grade 10) pay scale starting at $55,509 annually with the ability to move through the pay scale via step system to a maximum of $67,653.
