Town of Danvers | Equipment Operator 

The Town of Danvers seeks qualified applicants for the full-time (benefited, union) position of Equipment Operator for the Forestry Division of the Public Works Department. This position operates assigned equipment in performing construction and maintenance tasks throughout roadways, irrigation, buildings, grounds, forestry areas and other town properties.

Qualifications: A successful applicant will have a High School or Trade School Diploma and 2-3 years of experience in forestry and or landscape experience to include operation of Hoisting License, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License including Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsements; requires possession of a Hydraulic License. This position works 40 hours per week (Mondays – Fridays 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM).  Union pay scale, starting rate of pay for Equipment Operator is $22.08 per hour with ability to move through scale (via step system) to max step of $25.19 per hour.
