Town of Danvers | Operator II Water & Sewer 

The Town of Danvers seeks qualified applicants for the full-time (benefitted, union) position of Operator II for the Water-Sewer Division of the Public Works Department.  This position operates specialized equipment where primary responsibility is to operate assigned equipment while performing construction and maintenance tasks throughout highways, water and sewer systems, buildings, grounds and other Town properties.

Qualifications: The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteering, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required. A successful applicant will have a High School or Trade School Diploma and 2-3 years of experience in water and sewer related areas to include the operation of Hoisting License. Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License including Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsements; and possess a minimum of a 2B Hoisting License.

This position works 40 hours per week (Mondays – Fridays 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM).  Union pay scale, starting rate of pay for Operator II is $25.27 per hour with ability to move through scale (via step system) to max step of $29.0635 per hour.
