The Town of Danvers seeks qualified candidates to join our team for the seasonal position of Park Ranger at Endicott Park, with the opportunity for one candidate to remain on staff part-time throughout the year. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for Town staff. The Park Ranger is responsible for the care of farm animals including livestock and poultry, assisting the Program Coordinator with educational presentations, performing barn chores, landscaping and flower bed maintenance, and generally monitoring the park and assisting patrons as needed.
Qualified applicants must 18-years-old by the date of hire, and have graduated from high school, trade school, or an equivalent. An Associate degree in Horticulture, Urban Forestry, or Environmental Science is preferred. Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Candidates must possess current CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or have the ability to obtain certification within two (2) months of employment. Valid driver’s license required; MA Hoisting 2A License preferred.
This position works 32-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from May through September. Endicott Park is open 7 AM to 9 PM daily; work schedule is flexible but dependent on staffing needs. $15.00-$17.50 per hour DOQ.
The year-round park ranger will work 16-19 hours per week during the “off season,” with up to 40 hours per week possible from May through September.
