The Town of Danvers seeks applicants for the full-time, benefited position of Public Health Sanitarian/Ins. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for all Town staff, including a commitment to professional development and policies that promote and support a healthy work/life balance. The Public Health Sanitarian/Inspector performs various duties related to the enforcement and interpretation of public health, sanitation, and environmental laws and regulations for the Town of Danvers.

The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteerism, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required.

Associates Degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, biology, or related field required. Two to Three (2-3) years of related experience in Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related field. Must have the following certifications or the ability to obtain within 18 months: Certified Environmental Health Technician, Certified Health Officer and/or Registered Sanitarian. This position works 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Union pay scale starting at $53,384.24 with the ability to move through the pay scale via step system to a maximum of $69,886.36.  Hiring range DOQ.
