The Town of Danvers seeks qualified candidates to join our team as a Danvers Recreation Remote Program Group Leader. This full-time, benefited position supervises children in grades K-5 who participate in the Remote Learning program. This position is responsible for overseeing the health, safety and security of program participants, monitoring remote learning experiences, facilitating recreational activities and helping to maintain a positive environment for everyone involved. This position was created with the Remote Learning program put in place by Danvers Recreation to assist the Danvers School department during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Town will be hiring 7 Group Leaders for the Remote Program.
This position works in-person with students, on-site at the Danvers High School.
Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age and either have a High School Diploma or equivalent; and have 6 months experience working with school age children including three months of supervised experience at a school age child care program; or have 9 months of experience with school age children including 3 months of supervised experience at a school age child care program. Candidates must possess current First Aid and CPR certifications and an updated physical and TB documentation within the past two years.
This position works 32 hours per week, Monday-Friday during the school year (September 16 – June 30). Exact hours are dependent upon the school schedule and may vary slightly due to early release days or school vacations. Non-union pay scale, $16.08 – 20.81/per hour.
