The Town of Danvers seeks qualified candidates to join our team for seasonal (14 weeks) positions in the Department of Public Works. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for all Town staff. These positions are responsible for performing general labor work. Openings are available in:
- Buildings Division – 3 spots available for 14 weeks
- Grounds Division – 3 spots available for 14 weeks
- Streets Division – 3 spots available for 14 weeks
- Water Division – 4 spots available for 14 weeks
Duties in the Buildings Division include routine custodial work; duties in the Grounds Division include landscaping work such as weed whacking, mowing; duties in the Streets Division include filling potholes and street sign maintenance; duties in the Water Division include assisting the Water Distribution crew on routine repairs and maintenance.
Qualified applicants must be 18 years old by the first date of employment and have graduated from high school, trade school, or an equivalent. A valid driver’s license is required. A MA Hoisting 2A license is preferred but not required. Applicants must have a basic familiarity with basic hand and power tools such as hammers, shovels, and power saws.
These positions work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Pay rate $13.50 per hour. There are no benefits associated with this position.
