The Town of Danvers seeks qualified applicants for the part-time position of Activities Assistant in the Danvers Senior Center’s Supportive Adult Day Health Program. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for Town staff. The Activities Assistant assists with the day-to-day operations of the program, including aiding the Activity Director in planning and conducting programming, assisting participants with daily living skills, and providing mobility assistance.
The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteering, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required. Graduation from a high school or trade school, or an equivalent degree is required, with one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training. Prior experience working with a special needs population, is required; experience working with elders is preferred. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required. Current CPR & First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain within two (2) months of hire. Ability to speak fluent English. A favorable Criminal Record Background (CORI) is a condition of hire.

This is a part-time, Monday-Friday position that will not exceed 19.5 hours per week. Pay rate $14.75 per hour. There are no benefits associated with this position.
