Supportive Day Program Activities Coordinator | Danvers Senior Center
The Town of Danvers seeks qualified applicants for the part-time position of Activities Coordinator in the Danvers Senior Center’s Supportive Adult Day Health Program. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for Town staff. The Activities Coordinator plans and implements activities for clients attending the program, and ensures that materials are available and ready for activities.
The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteering, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required. Graduation from a high school or trade school, or an equivalent degree is required, with one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health or Social Services, or completion of a similar or comparable technical program is preferred. Prior experience working with a special needs population, is required; experience working with elders is preferred. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required. Current CPR & First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain within two (2) months of hire. Ability to speak fluent English. A favorable Criminal Record Background (CORI) is a condition of hire.
This is a part-time, Monday-Friday position that will not exceed 19.5 hours per week. Pay rate $17.00 per hour. There are no benefits associated with this position.
