3rd Class Apprentice Lineworker – Electric Division

 The Town of Danvers seeks applicants for the full-time, benefited position of 3rd Class Apprentice Lineworker. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for all Town staff, including a commitment to professional development and policies that promote and support a healthy work/life balance. The 3rd Class Apprentice Lineworker works as part of a line crew to perform routine groundwork and apprentice linework in operating and maintaining the Town’s electrical distribution system.

The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteerism, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required.

High school or trade school diploma required; Associates or bachelor’s degree desirable; three to six months (3-6) of experience in general electrical work or apprentice line college completion. Position of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire; experience with windows operating system on PC required; physical ability to climb structures (heights 30’-100’) required. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Union pay scale starting at $53,395.47 with the ability to move through the pay scale via step system to a maximum of $58,881.47.  Hiring range DOQ.
