The Town of Danvers is again honoring Memorial Day with two special events – a Rolling Caravan and a Virtual Memorial Day ceremony.

This year a virtual Memorial Day Ceremony will be broadcast on DCAT (Danvers Community Access Television) on Monday, May 31st, at 10 a.m. A link for the livestream will be available before the live broadcast on Monday so it can be bookmarked and shared. This video will air on Channel 22 (Comcast), Channel 41 (Verizon), as well as DCAT's YouTube Channel and Facebook Page. The ceremony will be shown a second time at 6 p.m. that same day. Rolling Caravan:

Earlier in the day, we are holding a  Rolling Caravan sponsored by the Danvers Police Department. There will be police cruisers, fire vehicles, and Chris Culkeen playing patriotic music. It will begin at 9 a.m. and end with enough time allowed to return home to view the ceremony.

Flags at Veterans Graves:

As in past years, flags will be placed at the graves of the fallen on the Wednesday afternoon before Memorial Day. Flags will be available to those who are interested in helping to place them.  Meet at Walnut Grove Cemetery at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
