Peak Savings – Demand Response with Tangent AMP
Danvers Electric offers Tangent AMP to industrial, commercial, and institutional customers with the ability to reduce costs by adjusting electric demand (customer load) during critical peak hours. monitoring energy signals from the grid, the environment, and your facility. The program is 100% voluntary, 100% free, and can provide considerable cost savings for customers.
Tangent AMP is a Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) that monitors signals from the grid, the environment, and your facility to predict economic opportunities for your facility.
There are two types of credits available through the Peak Savings Program:
- Transmission Peak Reduction Credit – for each kW of demand reduction achieved during the monthly transmission peak hour the customer shall earn credit as noted below to be applied to their monthly bill, typically four months later.
- ICAP Tag Reduction Credit – for each kW of demand reduction achieved during the single annual ISO-NE grid peak hour the customer shall earn credit as noted below to be applied to their bill for twelve months beginning in January.
Participating customers can access the Tangent Energy Solutions (Tangent) online portal to view interval energy use for their site, along with baseline data, historical data, reporting tools, and custom email alerts. The web portal also displays customer load reduction during peak hours and tracks savings from participation. Danvers Electric and its program implementation partner, Tangent, will consult with customers and recommend possible load reduction strategies if desired.
