Next week, from Oct. 4-8, along with more than 2,000 other community-owned, not-for-profit electric utilities nationwide, Danvers is celebrating Public Power Week. We thrive because we are staffed with hardworking and dedicated employees who care about our customers and town.

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to have a traditional open house this year like usual, but it is important to remember that we are still celebrating the fact we provide reliable, safe, and affordable electricity to our customers and friends. So in the spirit of celebration we have some fun goodie bags with activities and giveaways you can pick up the week of October 3-9 at 1 & 2 Burroughs Street.

With everybody’s hard work and dedication, we’ve managed to keep operations moving seamlessly.  So thank you to our Engineers, Technicians, Lineworkers, Safety Team, and Energy Management for everything they do to maintain excellent service for Danvers.

As the American Public Power Association puts it:

“Keeping the lights on is a 24-7 commitment. Thank you for living up to it.”

What is Public Power?

The People Behind Public Power coloring sheet was distributed to 250 students who participate in the Danvers Recreation Fun Club After-School Program.

These coloring pages were done during the Danvers Recreation Fun Club.  The age groups range from Kindergarten to 4th Grade.
