In order to mitigate the transmission of the COVID-19 Virus, the Town has been advised and directed by the Commonwealth to suspend public gatherings, and as such, the Governor’s Order suspends the requirement of the Open Meeting Law to have all meetings in a publicly accessible physical location. Further, all members of public bodies are allowed and encouraged to participate remotely. Remote meetings can be viewed by tuning into your government access channel on your home TV (channel 22 - Comcast; channel 41 - Verizon) and online:
July 27 at 7:00 PM - Historic District Commission
July 28 at 5:00 PM - Preservation Commission - CANCELLED
The Order, which you can find posted with agenda materials and here, allows public bodies to meet entirely remotely so long as reasonable public access is afforded so that the public can follow along with the deliberations of the meeting.
Supporting materials for the meeting is posted with the event details (located below, click meeting name to view material).
Public Comment During Meetings
Ensuring public access does not ensure public participation unless such participation is required by law. Various meetings and agenda items will or will not allow comment. To make public comment during a meeting the public should email: [email protected] and include the Board or Committee Name and date of the meeting in the subject line [ex. BOS - 3/24/2020]. Additionally, the email must include your name and address in the email. Any emails without this information will not be read.
