Respiratory Illness Information

There are currently no confirmed cases of Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) in Danvers. Risk of contracting COVID-19 in Massachusetts remains low, and only a single case has been reported in the Commonwealth. On March 2, the MA Department of Public Health (DPH) announced the first presumptive positive case of COVID-19, and on March 5 DPH announced the second presumptive positive case identified by the Massachusetts State Public Health Laboratory. CDC will conduct additional testing to confirm this possible second case. We hope that all Danvers residents stay informed, but not alarmed.  At this time, we should all remain more concerned about influenza in the community, and remind the public that the same respiratory precautions for the flu, may protect you from other respiratory illnesses.

The Board of Health is currently working quickly to disseminate state and federal information to schools, businesses and residents.  You may be able to find the answers to your questions below, but if you should have any questions at this time, please contact us at 978-777-0001 x 3095, or by email to Please be advised that at this time, we will not follow up on anonymous calls.
