The Danvers Board of Health has issued a revised order on the number of people that are allowed inside grocery stores, per the Governor’s new orders. Grocers are now limited to 40% capacity allowed by building and fire code. Additionally and to clarify, this order restricts sales of non-essential portions of essential businesses (such as flower shops, jewelry sales). This does not apply to garden centers attached to essential businesses.
The Board of Health reminds everyone to limit their grocery shopping as much as possible to reduce potential exposure and spread of COVID19, and to leave non-essential purchases for a later date. Additionally, any person shopping for essentials should wear a cloth mask, and gloves.
