This evening Governor Baker ordered social restrictions to help slow the spread of COVID-19, including, no gatherings of over 25 people, restaurants & bars to only offer take out & delivery effective Tuesday (however, Danvers establishments are free to implement this change effective immediately) and closure of all schools until April 7. The Town of Danvers requests that all residents abide by the restrictions. More information about these restrictions is available here (https://www.mass.gov/…/march-15-2020-large-gatherings-25-an…) and at mass.gov. The Town will be issuing additional support and guidance on this topic early this week.
Additionally, we ask that you avoid other public places such as playgrounds & parks (unfortunately parks aren’t cleaned daily), limit your interactions with friends (play dates are fun, but should wait) and reduce the frequency of going to stores ( go as needed but maintain social distancing).
We thank you for your continued cooperation. Town officials are here to support the community during this time. If you need assistance or have questions please call 978-777-0001.
